All winter white in the winter. I love the look and I see women pull it off beautifully, but it’s not me. I think because it is such a sophisticated, pulled together look. Like the women who wear it well don’t have any clutter in their homes, have perfectly manicured landscaping and nails, and always wear matching lingerie.
And now suddenly, I am sitting against a wall at a high school dance watching the cool girls dance with the cool boys. Awkward and out of place. Can't seem to figure out what it takes to be that. I only know I don't possess that.
But, you know, I’ve worked through all of that.
I am a fish out of water when it comes to a girly-girl look. I need a dash of dishevel, a bit of bohemian, and a hint of what-the-heck-is-she-wearing. I found this tunic at Goodwill and the black hat at an antique store. Enough winter white for a cheery winter look, but not too polished for my free-spirited self.
