Spring is in the air. Finally. It doesn't look a lot like spring yet, but in Michigan that does not matter. If it gets warmer than 50 degrees, even if snow is still on the ground, we are grilling, having picnics, and sunbathing. And isn't fabulous to go outside without bundling up?! I found this smock top at Goodwill when we were in Chattanooga last week. I love the hippie feel to it and it was half off. Half off! Then a couple of days ago I found a pair of cropped jeans at Mel Trotter and they were also half off. And technically, I am not sure the jeans are supposed to be cropped, but when you are 5'11"...yeah, we are gonna call them cropped.
So it was like the shirt and the jeans were meant to be worn together since they were both half off. I know I keep saying 'half off', but when you thrift and there's a sale, it's like you won the lotto. The shirt and jeans totaled $5.00. $5.00! I can't even make a shirt and jeans for $5.00. I mean, not that I could make them because I don't know how to sew. I only know how to cut. But Liza(9) and I have made a deal that we are going to learn how to sew this summer. Oh, and she is also determined to master a cartwheel.
Dear summer, we are anxiously waiting for you.
