Wow, it has been so long since I have posted. Life. It can really get crazy sometimes. But, hey...did you notice the new look to my blog? My nephew Lucas helped his out his Auntie. Thank you, Lucas! Allow an aunt to gush about her talented nephew and take a look at Lucas Harger Media.
Usually around this time of February, I start getting the winter blahs. I find myself thinking about a garden, sunshine, the lake, sundresses, and sandals. It's okay to think about what lies ahead, but the fact remains that it is still winter.
So here's what is going to get me through the winter: time with my family, teaching my fitness classes, Downton Abbey, thrift shopping, green smoothies, Downton Abbey, good books, dreaming about a garden, dreaming about the lake.
And enjoying dressing for winter helps beat the winter blues. Scarves, hats, coats, boots. They don't have to be boring. I am so into winter hats. Mostly my sons' winter hats. But, you know what? I figure that I carried them in my womb for nine months, gave birth to them, and nursed them for the first year of their life. I can wear their hats.
My friend Christy found the scarf I am wearing while we were thrifting together at Goodwill. Plaid makes me happy! So does Christy! I've mixed the plaid with a striped J. Crew sweater that I got on clearance. It is classic and I know I will have it for a long time. And the mix of navy and camel brings a smile to my face. Got a little preppy thing going on.
